In a medical environment, for hygienic reasons equipment must be cleaned and disinfected, but in the process no moisture or dirt may be allowed to make its way into the equipment. SCHURTER offers splash-proof pushbuttons according to IEC/UL 60601-1 / UL544 whose seal tightness is confirmed to IP protection classes and withstand cleaning agents.
SCHURTER's dual-tip keypads combine the advantages of membrane keypads with those of 2-stage switching technology. First, two independent switching operations can be triggered one after the other from one touch point. Second, on their front the keypads are sealed with a membrane and thus come standard as being water- and dustproof according to Protection Class IP65.
A touch panel is a fast, operator-friendly input device for interactive equipment operation. The continuous front membrane makes it insensitive to dirt and liquids such as cleaning and disinfectant agents. This also makes touch panels simple to clean, and they are extremely well suited for use in medical applications.
A touch window is a touch screen without a frame and whose glass substrate matches the complete front side of the operator units. An additional protective film protects the touch surface and allows customized designs, even in a deep-gloss piano effect. Thus, a touch window with its continuous flat front can be ideally integrated into a wide range of operator units in medical technology.
